Metrotech's service department has been repairing Metrotech products since its inception in 1962. Each service center employs a full-time staff of highly trained, experienced technicians who specialize in the service and repair of underground utility locating technology.
Before sending a unit in for repair, be sure to read and follow the checkout procedures listed in your unit's operations manual. It is always a good idea to try fresh batteries in your unit to see if it addresses the problem before sending the unit in.
Please include the following information when shipping a unit for repair or download our repair form by using the "Download the repair form" link.
Symptoms or problems (even if it is obvious),
unit operator's name, address, and phone number,
billing and shipping information.
Indicate whether an estimate is required.
Average turnaround time for repairs fluctuates, depending on unit and time of year; however, within the U.S. you can usually expect your unit to be repaired and returned within 5-7 days. Customers may receive loaner equipment whenever possible, and in such cases as are deemed absolutely necessary. All repairs have a 90 day warranty.
