Metrotech Introduces HL 5™ Wireless Water Leak Detection Instrument

Santa Clara, CA- Metrotech Corporation, a leading provider of high-quality utility locating
instruments, today introduces the HL 5 a wireless water leak detection instrument with both a visual and audible indication of a leak. HL5 includes a wireless transmission of leak sound to the headphones for maximum freedom of movement.

“Our department used the HL 5 unit and it is just an awesome leak tool. I am impressed with the unit’s
wireless water leak sound transmission sensitivity and ease-of-use," says Dave Brunell, operations manager
at Framingham Massachusetts Water Dept. “The speed and ease-of-use saved us time in finding water leaks
immediately. It's the first tool I grab when I start hunting for a leak problem.”

The HL 5 unit contains a sensitive piezo-ceramic sensor enabling excellent quality analysis even on plastic
piping. An automatic sound level control increases the usefulness without added operator intervention.
With the built-in light feature users can easily distinguish leaks even in dark corners and is a practical
companion for low-light work..

Now available for purchase, contact our sales team at 800-446-3392 or visit our web site at www.metrotech.com. For a product demonstration of the HL-5, visit Metrotech’s booth #1430 at the
American Water Works Association Annual Conference & Expositions at the Toronto, Ontario, Canada on
